As representatives slowly made their way into the meeting room, the ASOSU House of Representatives was delayed momentarily due to lack of quorum. Once quorum was reached, roll call was taken and the alma mater sung, the ASOSU House went into session holding a short meeting of their own.
The first order of business was to swear in the new graduate representative Matthew Palm. In his first night, Palm brought up ideas for legislation in regards to the new freshman housing requirements and safety with having extra people on campus.
The meeting closed with similar announcements made for the house as last night’s Senate meeting.
This term’s town hall will be held on Jan. 22. The exact time and location are still under discussion. However, Speaker of the House Jacob Vandever mentioned they are looking to hold it in the Native American Longhouse around 5 p.m. These details are not finalized, but advertising with the exact details should be out shortly.
Representative Nick Rosoff gave another reminder for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service on Saturday, Jan. 19.
